Enquiries about an investigation
If you are involved in a traffic-related investigation and need to make enquiries, SPF directs you to the Investigation Branch Call Centre at 6547 6391. Its published operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm; it is closed on weekends and public holidays (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
Appealing an outstanding traffic offence
SPF directs people who wish to appeal an outstanding traffic offence to its Traffic e-Appeals service. The investigation page says appeals are considered only on grounds of extenuating circumstances, such as medical emergencies, and require supporting documentary proof. Repeated appeals without fresh evidence will not be considered, and giving false information in an appeal is an offence (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations). For the e-service's current submission details, see Traffic offence and licence e-appeals.
Requesting certified police documents
SPF says applicants who want certified true copies of reports, documents, or an investigation outcome can apply through its Certified True Copy of Police Document e-service. For an individual applicant, the page lists Singpass login, the applicant's particulars (such as full name and NRIC number), a local contact number, a valid email address, incident details (such as the nature of the offence), and the accident date. The table lists a $16 fee for individual applicants and Visa, Mastercard, or i-Banking as payment methods (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
An individual applicant who is not eligible for Singpass may use a transaction reference number. SPF also says such an applicant may apply in person or through a local proxy at Traffic Police with a Letter of Authorisation signed by the applicant; the page accepts an original or photocopy of that letter. It lists a local bank-issued credit card for e-service payment and CashCard or Autopass Card for an in-person application by the applicant or local proxy (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
For corporate applicants, including law firms and insurance companies, the page lists CorpPass login, company particulars such as registered name and address, and Visa, Mastercard, or i-Banking. A foreign corporate applicant may apply through a Singaporean proxy with a Letter of Authorisation signed by the applicant and company particulars; the listed payment methods are CashCard or Autopass Card (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
After successful payment of the document fee, SPF says approved documents will be sent by post within 10 working days (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
Coverage debt
SPF's page does not explain how investigators assess a case, which specific documents will be approved for release, or the criteria used to approve a document request. Check the current e-service or contact Traffic Police for case-specific requirements (SPF, Traffic Related Investigations).
