(OneMotoring, Driving Rules and Information)
Default and posted speed limits, School Zones, and Silver Zones are in speed-limits. Expressway and tunnel vehicle restrictions are in expressway-and-tunnel-rules.
The Highway Code states that sounding the horn when driving is unnecessary except to warn other road users to avoid an imminent accident or during an emergency, and that horns used must not produce an unduly harsh, shrill, loud or multi-tone sound (SSO, Highway Code r 106).
