What the system does
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) describes the Containerised Traffic System (CTS) as a communications network with hardware and software components. It says heavy vehicles such as prime movers are fitted with a mobile data terminal, keypad, GPS tracker and antenna. Heavy-vehicle companies, including Bok Seng Logistics, have adopted the technology to track the movement of their prime movers and trailers (SPF, Road Safety Tips for Heavy Vehicle Drivers).
SPF says CTS provides real-time track-and-trace capability and can make job planning and scheduling easier, helping optimise resource use and productivity (SPF, Road Safety Tips for Heavy Vehicle Drivers).
Coverage debt
SPF's page does not describe eligibility, installation steps or costs, data access or retention, or whether CTS use is required. It describes an example of fleet technology and does not establish a legal requirement or a general operating rule for heavy-vehicle drivers.
